Gates Sports Center
You’ve come to where the action is — Gates Sports Center. At IPFW’s Mastodon headquarters, you can cheer on your favorite team, join intramurals, and get in shape. IPFW’s NCAA Division I athletics took on a new dimension — when the university recently joined the Mid-Continent Conference. Our teams compete with nine other conference universities from across the country, bringing more sports enthusiasts to Gates Sports Center than ever before. Another popular pastime at the center is intramurals — more than 1,100 students participate in 15 sports each year. And forget joining another gym to get fit. Students (with an IPFW student ID) have free access to the center’s indoor track, fitness center, and weight room, which include Nautilus and cardio equipment.
