Classroom-Medical Building
At our next stop, you’ll hear an hourly reminder that classes are beginning. The Classroom-Medical Building contains IPFW’s carillon, a computerized 49-bell system that reproduces the Westminster Chimes and hundreds of other songs. It also keeps time perfectly — it’s connected to the U.S. Naval Observatory atomic clock in Colorado. The Classroom-Medical Building is also home to the Fort Wayne Center for Medical Education of the Indiana University School of Medicine. The center educates dozens of doctors and is a valuable source of medical research in northeast Indiana.
